Amanda is a power vocalist in the Baltimore/DC music scene. Before forming her own band, she performed both original and cover material with several groups, including The Ron Holloway Band. In addition to her original music, Amanda has a cover repertoire that spans many genres, including jazz, classic rock, pop, funk and soul. She has performed the national anthem for crowds of several thousand at Madison Square Garden and Oriole Park on multiple occasions.
Her commanding vocal presence and ability to communicate with audiences make her at ease performing for listeners of any age. Her influences do not fit any one category and include Donny Hathaway, Edith Piaf, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, Sarah Vaughn, Tom Waits, Amy Winehouse, Otis Redding, Beth Hart, Michael Kiwanuka, Nina Simone, Amalia Rodrigues, Baltimore’s own Sean K. Preston, and innumerable others.
Amanda is a Baltimore County native and has been a Baltimore City resident for 12 years. She’s proud to call Charm City her home.
